An existential journey through the memories of a centenarian couple serves as a meditation on aging and the power of memory to renew an attachment to life with each instant that passes. In 2024, Morrie was the oldest man living in the US. He died at the age of 110 in June 2024. Betty died at the age of 103 in 2019. They were married for 82 years.
Dr. Sonja Bertucci is a Richmond-based filmmaker and Assistant Professor in Film Studies at the University of Richmond. After completing her MFA at CalArts, she taught film and filmmaking at multiple universities. Her films often thematize grief and loss, ephemerality, the struggle for personal and communal survival, and marginalized subjects of cultural life. …more (Link)
